Ocassionally an art student on a Macbook will indicate they can no longer access Google Drive while signed into their account. This may be due to several causes, listed below in order of probability:

Issue #1: The student's Google login token has expired. login tokens from Google are valid for 24 hours. Once a student's Google login token has expired in Chrome the login token for Google Drive likewise expired.

Resolution #1: Have the student sign out of the their Google account in both Chrome and Google Drive on the Macbook. Then sign back into Chrome and then Google Drive.

Issue 2: Google drive ocassionally auto-updates and does not recover gracefully. If the update occurs exactly while a student is trying to connect, this may cause Google drive to either not auto-launch or corrupt the install.

Resolution 2: Inspect the machine and confirm Google Drive is installed by signing in as a local admin and launching it. If it's missing, re-install it. If it's present, quit and relaunch it to force finalization of the update. Repeat the login instructions from resolution #1 to confirm operability

Issue #3: Similar to Google Drive, Google Chrome also updates periodically and can also have issues if the version is out of date, or if an update fails midway and uninstalls Chrome as a result.

Resolution #3: Inspect the machine and confirm Google Chrome is installed by signing in as a local admin and launching it. If it's missing, re-install it. If it's present, quit and relaunch it, goto help - about Google Chrome and update the software. Repeat the login instructions from resolution #1 to confirm operability

Issue #4: The WiFi is disabled on the machine, allowing local cached user profile login but no access to network resources.

Resolution #4: Inspect the machine by signing in as a local admin and confirm it's connected to WiFi. If it isn't reconnect it to the WebsterSchools5 WiFi network. Reboot the machine and confirm operability by repeating resolution #1.
